The location is good, you are right on the beach, but the staff who look after this property are very unfriendly. When we asked if we could leave our suitcases there for 2 hours longer and sunbathe outside, they refused. We had to leave the hotel at 12:00 and take our suitcases with us, which was very unaccommodating even though we offered to pay for it. The furnishings in the hotel are very old and the pillows are rock hard, as if there were only blankets in them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros:
- Beach front location although you don’t get a beach front view or porch unless you book their villas.
- Very near the port and near all the beach front restaurants and activities.
- They give you fresh towels and take out the trash every day.
- Very nice staff.
Cons:
- We had to pay cash. Their terminal wasn’t working properly. We tried four cards in total which all worked fine everywhere else. So we had to find an ATM and withdraw money.
- The toilet stinks. For some reason even after cleaning and even after turning the exhaust on, the stink doesn’t go away.
- Poor drainage - water and dirt get stuck both in the shower and sink.

It's located right in front of the beach, and there's a music bar right in front of the accommodation, so you can listen to good music for free. I wonder if there is any accommodation in Positano with a better location.
Air conditioning and refrigeration are both provided.
It may be a bit difficult to find the entrance to the accommodation when checking in. The large yellow building is the accommodation, and the entrance is between the accommodation and the restaurant on the left side facing the accommodation. If you go through that iron door, you will find the accommodation!
The host is an old lady named Rossa, and although she doesn't speak English very well, she tries to explain things as kindly and easily as possible. When I said I wanted to use porter service on the day of check-out, they made a reservation for me.
I was worried because there were a lot of bad reviews, but it was really good. It was the best accommodation, so beautiful and nice. We also upgraded our room.

Esperienza pessima. Ho speso 450 EURO A NOTTE, per soggiornare in una “affittacamere”. Una struttura fatiscente sulla spiaggia che fa capo all’Hotel Palazzo Marzoli. Stanza terribile con angolo cottura. La finestra della camera da letto dava in un altro ambiente interno. E non è uno scherzo. Con 450 EURO Al GIORNO, NON ERA NEANCHE PREVISTA LA PULIZIA!! Quando l’ho fatto presente alla signora inospitale che gestiva queste camere mi ha detto testuali parole” le pulizie dovete farvele da soli”. In stanza non c’era neanche una scopa, quindi avrei dovuto comprarmela. Nella 450 EURO AL GIORNO, NON ERA PREVISTA LA COLAZIONE!!! Con un prezzo da hotel a 5 stelle, dovevi fare colazione al bar!! Una follia totale. Con questi prezzi mi aspetto, la colazione e soprattutto la pulizia giornaliera della camera.

Disappointing Experience. As a representative of a travel agency, I am extremely disappointed with the experience our clients had at La Caravella di Positano. I feel compelled to highlight the following issues: - Misleading Parking Information: We were initially informed that nearby parking would cost €50. However, upon arrival, the price was being increased without clear justification. This caused unnecessary stress for our clients. - Last-Minute Hotel Change: Despite booking a room at La Caravella, our clients were unexpectedly transferred to Hotel La Rosa, which is farther from the beach and not what was originally booked — with no explanation provided. - Room Not Honored: The room was purchased specifically at La Caravella, yet the hotel failed to provide it. This is unacceptable, especially for bookings made a full month in advance. - Unprofessional Reception Staff: The staff at the front desk was rude and dismissive. He simply stated that the hotel was overbooked, even though our reservation was confirmed well in advance. - No Resolution Offered: The staff made no effort to resolve the issue. Our clients were forced to settle for Hotel La Rosa, a less desirable option, causing frustration and disappointment during what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. This level of service is unacceptable, especially when dealing with travel professionals. We will be advising our partners and clients to avoid La Caravella di Positano in the future.

Acomodação digna.
Propriedade localizada na beira da praia, perto de tudo. Mas se a chegada não for pelo mar, é necessário descer todas as ruas da cidade para chegar até ela.
Sra Rosa é educada e prestativa. Nos tratou com toda educação. Mas somente fala italiano.
Naonse trata de um hotel, mas sim residence, como ela destaca. Entao nao ha café da manhã, tampouco limpeza do quarto (somente troca de toalhas).

Quando prenoti con Booking aggirando loro per una differenza notevole di prezzo ti sbarcano in una camera ‘vista montagna’ che equivale a dire avere la roccia nella di finestra, giustificandosi che non abbiamo scelto la ‘vista mare’.. Una matrimoniale adattata a tripla con un letto piccolissimo, una attesa sotto il sole di mezz’ora per il check in, reception inesistente, tassa di soggiorno pagata il doppio… Continuo?!
